Hey,
It’s been a minute since I last wrote you. My absence is partly by design. The remainder? Chalk it up to schedule.
As far as the writing process goes, my editor is nearing the end of his first rounds. After he’s through with this version of the story, it all goes back to the beginning. Rinse and repeat until it’s as close as possible to my imagination.
That’s the process.
In the meantime, I’ve been reading and thinking, making notes for the story as it occurs to me. Ideas come out of seemingly nowhere, always at odd times. That’s exciting though - those “flashes” make the thing feel more alive. I make no claim the ideas are good yet, but the fact that they occur means there’s life there. That I have more to uncover in this story. That layers exist past what I’ve currently seen.
I can’t wait to see what comes next.
